Our Builders Risk team offers Project Specific, Master Builders Risk, and Contractors Block policies to clients with global exposure. We tailor each policy to fit the clients unique needs.What youll be doingUsing your underwriting expertise, you will provide hightouch solutions for current and prospective clients, partnering with industry experts who have extensive construction risk management experience.Essential responsibilitiesMarketing to brokers to secure new and renewal business.Review submissions, terms and conditions, statement of values, loss history, and catastrophic modeling to determine risk based on Builders Risk Guidelines and underwriting authority.Coordinate with internal business divisions (Actuarial, Claims, Reinsurance, Accounting, Marketing, Regulatory) to support underwriting.Determine quotes or declines of risk.Calculate rates and premium charges using approved rating models.Develop and modify policy wording when standard forms are insufficient.Actively crosssell affiliated products and services.Support service standards in the delivery of builders risk products and services.In this role you will report to the Underwriting Manager, Construction and Energy.What youll bringSome commercial insurance experience (preferably underwriting) or construction/engineering industry experience.Ability to provide solutions for general contractors and owners across the full range of Builders Risk accounts.Independent work with teamwork, active listening, and practical, unique solutions to complex issues.Robust insured and broker interaction within assigned geographic territory, effectively targeting current and prospective contacts.Excellent written and oral communication skills to work with internal teams and external brokers.Excellent organizational, timemanagement, and multitasking skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Bachelors degree preferred; advanced education or professional designations a plus.Willingness to travel (approximately 25%) within assigned territory.Who we areAXA XL, the P&C and specialty risk division of AXA, solves complex risks for midsized companies, multinationals, and innovative individuals.
