Application Information Position #: 9008616 Expected Start Date: January 05, 2026 Union: SUN Facility: SHA-Agency INH-Communicable Disease City/Town: Melfort or Nipawin or Tisdale Department: Communicable Disease Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days, Weekends Hours of Work: 28 shifts of 8 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse B $42.040 to $52.440 Travel Required: Yes Job Description: The Communicable Disease Control Public Health Nurse works under the direction of the designated Manager or supervisor and is a delegate of the local Medical Health Officer(s) and is accountable for the coordination of public health activities to control and prevent communicable diseases, including surveillance and reporting responsibilities, as outlined in The Public Health Officers Regulations, in addition to The Public Health Act, 1994 and The Disease Control Regulations and Saskatchewan Health directives and policies and other applicable federal legislation. They will coordinate the prevention, planning, and implementation of Communicable Disease Control (CDC) services within the Saskatchewan Health Authority. The CDC PHN conducts investigations and the related follow up of reportable and non-reportable communicable diseases, including sexually transmitted diseases, on a day-to-day basis working collaboratively with many internal and external health care professionals/agencies.
