Job Summary The Technician IV Electrician holds a valid Certificate of Qualification issued by the province and has passed any required examinations. This role operates facility systems and performs preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with environmental, health, safety, and fire protection standards. Key Duties & Responsibilities Operate facility systems and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment. Follow established processes and practices, complying with internal and external requirements. Monitor and inspect equipment, provide observations and recommendations for enhancements. Conduct facility walkthroughs and maintain monitoring documentation. Troubleshoot and repair building systems within policy limits and oversee service providers. Respond to routine and ondemand service requests, managing the work order lifecycle. Track, monitor, and report status of maintenance work in the service maintenance database. Assist in implementing the PM program, identifying deficiencies, and maintaining related documents. Participate in facilityrelated projects and support tenant/customer satisfaction. Maintain assigned tools, arrange repairs or replacements, and submit expenditures promptly. Work Requirements Ability and willingness to work shifts, be available for oncall, standby, and emergency callouts. Strict adherence to Health and Safety policies, wearing required PPE. Knowledge & Skills 35 years of facility operations and maintenance experience. High school diploma plus trade training and certification or licensing. Advanced ability to adhere to and execute maintenance processes and practices. Expertise in maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical building systems. Strong troubleshooting and resolution skills for equipment issues. Current knowledge of fire, life, safety and building codes. Environmentally conscious, health and safety mindset. Clientservice orientation and high sense of urgency. Effective communication skills for data relay and clarification. Licenses & Professional Accreditation Journeyman level Electrical license (required). Journeyman level Refrigeration license (asset). Gasfitter I or II license (asset). Preferred Credentials Building Systems Maintenance Certificate (SMC). Systems Maintenance Administrator (SMA). Systems Maintenance Technician (SMT). Additional Requirements Capability to obtain required security clearance. Valid drivers license if required. Compensation This regular, fulltime position offers an hourly wage range of $39.20 $53.04, based on experience, education and performance.
