OverviewLocation: 101-808 Nelson St, Vancouver, British Columbia (onsite)Under the direction of a Radiologist, the Ultrasound Technologist will perform a variety of ultrasound examinations (abdominal, pelvic, thyroid and superficial soft tissue mass) while observing patient safety practices. Our team members across the country are united by their commitment to continuously innovating to make healthcare more accessible and deliver improved health experiences for everyone.Lets create a healthier future, together.What you'll doReceive and complete requisitions, enter patient data into the diagnostic imaging information system and prepare patients for specific proceduresGather and verify patient history and relevant information prior to beginning scanPerform ultrasound procedures in accordance with regulatory body guidelines and TELUS policiesEnsure all necessary documentation is accurately completed for each scanMaintain current knowledge and understanding of PACSMaintain equipment and ensure a clean, organized and safe workspaceComply with patient safety and confidentiality policiesPerform related clerical and administrative duties as necessaryQualificationsCompletion of a recognized post-diploma sonography program, or equivalentCurrent Sonography Canada registration in good standing - Required CRGSPrevious experience as a general sonographer, largely transabdominal pelvic and abdominal scansCPR and WHMIS certification(s) considered an assetPrevious experience with PACS and GE ultrasound equipment is beneficialEffective decision making skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and as a member of a dynamic teamCommitment to providing high quality patient care and customer service is essentialStrong organizational and problem solving skillsComfortable working in a fast paced environment and ability to work well under pressureSalary Range: $60,647 - $112,630 #J-18808-Ljbffr
