Seymour Pacific Developments is looking for a Civil Superintendent to support project operations throughout Vancouver Island. The Civil Superintendent is responsible for the start and completion of all civil works on multi-building, multi-family, residential construction sites. Work truck and company phone provided.Your contributions to the teamUnderstand construction drawings and the scope of the tasks requiredCan establish and follow committed schedulingFollow established direction and coordinate site activitiesWork on a congested site with other tradesFollow, plans and specifications and implement a quality control site-based programUphold and enforce company safety regulations, policies and proceduresHandle multiple crews simultaneously, while giving direction and trainingWhat you need to be successfulMinimum 5 years civil construction experience in a leadership roleResidential and commercial construction experienceUnderstanding of methodology and terminology in the civil construction industryExperience supervising a construction crewAbility to operate all types of heavy equipment in a safe and productive mannerProven ability to read and interpret blueprints and other construction drawingsAbility to direct survey crew and have a complete understanding of stakes and gradesAbility to set up lines and grades with lasers or a construction levelWorking experience in earthworks and utility installation inspectionsExperience using MS Office Suite and construction related softwareMust be able to delegate tasks and responsibilities to the crewKnowledge of civil construction and utilities is requiredWhy Seymour Pacific?Seymour Pacific Developments is an industry leader in building multi-family homes with unparalleled speed and efficiency.
