Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced grocery store environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, efficiently handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure. Duties Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing any concerns. Handle cash transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and adherence to company policies. Assist with stocking shelves and merchandising products to enhance the shopping experience. Demonstrate products as needed and engage in upselling techniques to promote additional sales. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, including restocking supplies as necessary. Support supervisory staff by assisting in training new cashiers and providing guidance when needed. Utilize basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and retail math calculations. Exhibit strong phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries over the phone. Cleaning store, washrooms, pumps Qualifications Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred. Familiarity with POS systems is highly desirable. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.
