Role Summary: The MediumHigh Voltage BMG Supervisor is responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-voltage electrical systems within the client''s Hot Rolling Mill. This role demands deep technical expertise in power distribution, substations, and high-voltage switchgear systems, alongside leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Due to the safety-critical nature of the role, candidates must have strong Canadian industrial experience and meet provincial and federal safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Supervise electrical maintenance for medium and high-voltage systems in the Hot Rolling Mill. Lead electrical technicians in safe troubleshooting and repair of high-voltage equipment. Oversee maintenance of transformers, switchgear, breakers, and protection relays. Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure electrical reliability. Ensure compliance with CSA Z462 and Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC). Perform Root Cause Analysis on electrical system faults. Coordinate shutdowns, testing, and commissioning activities. Collaborate with engineering and safety teams to optimize system performance. Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and reports within CMMS. Reinforce a strong safety culture through training and supervision. Qualifications: Valid 442A Master Electrician license or equivalent. 5+ years of experience in high-voltage electrical maintenance within a Canadian industrial environment. Completion of Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) training meeting CSA Z462 and OESC standards. Hands-on experience with switchgear, transformers, relays, and power distribution systems. Demonstrated understanding of electrical protection and safety systems. Excellent leadership, troubleshooting, and analytical skills. Strong communication and documentation skills.
