Job Description

Position Summary: Hearing Care Clinic is looking for an Audiologist or hearing aid practitioner to join our team in Mill Bay, Duncan or Chemainus, BC. This position is responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of hearing loss in adults, as well as the management of the patient''s hearing care plan. We are small family run business with great flexibility. Also a great opportunity to grow with our business. We are looking for someone looking to work 2-4 days a week. Hours are 930-4 with an hour lunch break. Requirements: Master''s degree in Audiologic or Audiological science or a related field; Bachelor''s degree preferred. Minimum of two years Audiologic or Audiological experience. Knowledge of AHA and HPA systems, along with the ability to interpret audiograms, speech intelligibility tests, and other auditory testing instruments. Knowledge of the management of a patient''s care plan. Ability to interpret hearing tests and interpret results for treatment recommendations. Ability to communicate effectively with patients and other professionals. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be able to multi-task, and work well under pressure. Must be comfortable working with children and adults with hearing loss in all stages of hearing loss. Responsibilities: Perform hearing tests on patients with hearing loss; Perform audiometric evaluations on patients with hearing loss; Perform audiometric treatments on patients with hearing loss; Perform audiometric evaluations and audiological treatments on patients with hearing loss; Provide treatment recommendations to the patient''s primary care physician when appropriate; Collect copays for audiological services provided by primary care physician; Maintain accurate records for all audiometry, audiometric treatments, and treatment recommendations; Provide audiological services to patients at clinics, office visits, or tele-audiograms; Perform audiological assessments for patients at clinics, tele-audiograms, primary care physicians, or other professionals'' offices; Identify causes of symptoms or complaints that require referral to another health professional Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $35.00-$65.00 per hour Benefits: Paid time off Education: AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred) Experience: hearing aid dispensing: 1 year (required) Work Location: In person
