We strive to create an inclusive workplace where diverse perspectives are welcomed and valued.About the RoleThe Program Coordinator plays a key role in supporting initiatives that improve care for older adults across care settings. This position provides program, project, and administrative coordination for the Seniors Across Care Settings team and works closely with physicians, health system partners, and internal stakeholders.Reporting to the Director of Special Projects, the Program Coordinator supports committees, events, and projects that strengthen collaboration between primary care providers and the systems of care that they work in, while ensuring programs run smoothly, data is well managed, and stakeholders are well supported. This role is well suited to someone who is highly organized, detail and relationship-oriented, and motivated by meaningful work within the healthcare system.What Youll DoProvide administrative and coordination support to seniors strategy and long-term care programs and initiativesCollect, organize, track, and support analysis of program and project dataSupport committees and working groups by coordinating meetings, preparing materials, and taking accurate meeting minutesBuild and maintain positive working relationships with family physicians and program partnersCoordinate complex meeting logistics, schedules, and multiple calendarsSupport planning and delivery of events, including logistics and follow-upManage and coordinate small projects with guidance from the supervising managerCommunicate with program participants, physicians, and partners in a professional and timely mannerDevelop, update, and improve administrative systems and processes to increase efficiencyConduct background research on regional healthcare topics, organizations, and contacts as neededHandle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalismProvide general administrative and program support as requiredWhat You BringMinimum 2 years of administrative or program coordination experience, ideally in healthcare, non-profit, or public-sector environmentsHighly detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skillsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (database management, basic data analysis, tracking, reporting)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with physicians and partnersAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet weekly and monthly deadlines in a dynamic environmentResourceful, self-motivated, professional, and respectful in all interactionsComfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative teamWillingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings as requiredBachelors degree in Health Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experiencePrevious experience within the BC healthcare system is considered an assetWhat We OfferA respectful, inclusive, and values-driven workplaceMunicipal Pension Plan (MPP) membershipEmployer paid extended health and wellness benefitsHybrid work model, with four days per week at homeGenerous vacation and paid time offProfessional development opportunities
