OverviewWe are seeking a Health & Safety Coordinator to support the consistent application of our Health & Safety Program across projects and facilities. This role works closely with site leadership to ensure compliance, promote a strong safety culture, and drive continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct safety inspections, develop action plans, and monitor progress.Facilitate toolbox talks and weekly safety meetings.Coach front-line supervision on daily safety challenges.Develop and deliver health & safety training and aids.Support incident investigations and implement corrective actions.Research legislation and recommend compliance solutions.Complete reports and documentation for Health & Safety activities.Monitor emergency preparedness and participate in confined space permitting.Track new employees in the New & Young Worker Program.QualificationsMandatory: National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) designationOccupational First Aid Level 2 or 3Preferred: Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designationExperience: 5+ years in heavy civil construction and/or marine sectorsConfined Space and Fall Arrest permitting and managementFamiliarity with heavy lift crane safety (asset)Skills & CompetenciesStrong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to develop and deliver training programs.Comfortable with Behavioral Based Safety observation practices.Proficient in Microsoft Office and SharePoint; experience with safety software (e.g., Intelex) is an asset.Physically capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions.Valid Drivers License and clear driving record.
