Location: Delta, BC (On-site) Schedule: Monday to FridayPosition SummaryThe HR Generalist Site HR Lead is responsible for providing day-to-day human resources support to the Delta facility. Reporting to the Plant Manager in Delta, BC, this role partners closely with Plant Leadership, Corporate HR, and union representatives to support recruitment, employee relations, performance management, disability and WSBC claims, labour relations processes, and compliance in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities Serve as the on-site HR lead supporting hourly and salaried employees Manage full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and employee orientation Provide guidance on policies, procedures, and collective agreement interpretation Support supervisors and managers on coaching, grievances, performance, and corrective actions Support quarterly JLM meetings and attend JHSC meetings Coordinate disability claims, WSBC filings, RTW, and modified duty arrangements Provide oversight of hourly payroll processing in coordination with the Plant Administrator, ensuring accuracy and timely submission Provide oversight of salary payroll processing in coordination with payroll processor Maintain accurate employee files and HR documentation Partner with Corporate HR on benefits, reporting, payroll coordination, and company-wide programs Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, Health & Safety, and Food Safety programs Assist with HR-related projects and initiatives as required Provide coverage for payroll processing, office administration, and safety functions during absences Represent plant leadership professional in a unionized environment and collaborate with plant leadership to support effective decision-making and alignment Other duties as assignedRequired Qualifications 5-7 years of HR experience in a unionized manufacturing environment, food manufacturing, CPG, or other regulated production environments experience an asset Post-secondary education in Human Resources or related field Strong communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with discretion Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.) Highly organized with strong time management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Experience with WSBC claims, disability management, and RTW programs Exposure to labour relations processes including grievances and corrective actions
