We are seeking a skilled Associate for the Venture Investment Banking (VIB) department in our Vancouver office. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting a fast-paced brokerage firm nestled in the heart of Vancouver with day-to-day administrative tasks in its VIB department and will become an important liaison between our advisors, their high-net-worth clients, and the issuers.Qualified candidates should forward their resume to Jovan Stupar at [email protected]. Key Responsibilities:Assist in processing non-brokered private placementsSetting up files on NIAD (platform for managing client orders)Preparing subscription forms for Investment Advisors, which are to be sent to clientsVetting subscription formsInteracting with Investment Advisors, Issuers, Back Office staffUpdating deal excel spreadsheetsAssist in processing brokered private placements, IPOs, LIFE Offerings and Prospectus OfferingsYour Skills:Proficient in Excel, Word, OutlookAbility to learn job specific software applicationsWritten and verbal communication is essential for this positionWorking in a team environmentYour Qualifications:Post-secondary education in a relevant disciplineExperience in the securities industry (back office, banking, capital markets) or legal industry is preferredThis is an immediate hire position and therefore only candidates already domiciled in the Greater Vancouver Area and legally able to work in Canada will be considered.The hire will need to be in the office full-time for the first three months to receive training and to see if the position is the right fit. After the training and probation period, the role will become hybrid.Compensation offered will depend on the candidates relevant experience.
