We are seeking a temporary Clerk 1 / Receptionist to support a busy office in Port Hawkesbury during a short-term leave of absence. This is a client-facing administrative role that requires strong communication, organization, and customer service skills. The successful candidate will provide clerical support while interacting with clients and contractors both in person and by phone. Tasks Greet clients and visitors and provide front-desk reception support Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls professionally Operate the switchboard and manage general inquiries Prepare, process, and file correspondence and tenant-related letters Assist with application processing and maintain accurate records Create, process, and track work orders in a timely manner Perform office filing, data entry, and document management Order office supplies and support office equipment requirements Deliver and distribute inter-office mail Provide general clerical and administrative support as required Follow established procedures while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail Requirements Completion of an Office Administration program or equivalent training Minimum 3 years of clerical or administrative experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience (Grade XI plus related experience) Strong client-service orientation with a professional and courteous manner Excellent verbal and written communication skills High attention to accuracy and detail Ability to follow established procedures and work under direct supervision Strong organizational and time-management skills Proficiency with standard office equipment and basic computer applications Ability to work effectively in a team-based office environment If you are a detail-oriented administrative professional with strong customer service skills, we encourage you to apply and join a supportive office environment.
