KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Daily miscellaneous cleanup of building and site Miscellaneous site organization and moving materials Heating and Hoarding Dewatering Temporary Lighting Assist apprentices and carpenters General labour for other duties as assigned Flagging UNIQUE WORKING CONDITIONS: The General Labourer is required to work outdoors (subject to weather conditions) and indoors as required. Traveling to job sites is required. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Direction Received From: Labour Foreperson QUALIFICATIONS: WHMIS CSTS an asset but not required Fall Arrest an asset but not required Flagging training an asset but not required Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role is preferred but not required ONTHEJOB ORIENTATION: 3 - 6 months to become proficient PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: Positive attitude with the ability to relate to all levels of personnel at the job site Adaptable and professional approach Ability to listen, follow instructions and ask questions Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Safety diligent PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS: Employees in this position are expected to: Be highly organized and time efficient Be achievement oriented with strong personal drive Relationship oriented with a focus on both internal and external customer needs Ability to perform technical tasks quickly and accurately.
