Position Overview The Manager, Security and Disbursement, is responsible for ensuring that all due diligence and verifications are completed prior to the disbursement of loans. The Manager works on files requiring knowledge and experience in external security processes and collaborates closely with clients, underwriters, business development leads, other financial partners and authorizers to ensure disbursements respect the banks procedures and are completed efficiently to provide excellent customer service. Challenges to Be Met Approve, decline or recommend disbursement within established parameters. Mandate, instruct and ensure support with solicitor, and coordinate disbursement with other financial partners. Review and/or follow up on letters of offer to ensure that forms and information are accurate and complete and that requirements and signatures are obtained. Identify and foresee potential problems in files and propose adapted solutions to ensure overall risk is evaluated correctly. Process disbursement package by ensuring thorough due diligence and sound account management practices. Promptly disburse loans that have been approved and authorized via the credit adjudication process in accordance with the disbursement strategy. Update authorizations, project costs and disbursement strategies to ensure that overall risk is evaluated correctly. Participate in resolving compliance or material changes that arise during the disbursement process. Maintain relationships with business centre personnel and colleagues to foster teamwork, pursue common objectives and consistently apply policies. Provide excellent customer experience in the resolution of basic client issues and escalated complex issues to senior team members. Keep abreast of changes to policies, procedures and detailed processes and trends in credit and regulatory issues that may impact BDC. Work under high pressure, high volume and handle urgent situations quickly and efficiently. What We Are Looking For Bachelors degree in commerce, business administration or accounting. Three to five years of experience in the financial industry or related field. Business savvy with keen technological sense, creative and resourceful. Sound knowledge of commercial lending processes and legal aspects related to security taking. Excellent analytical and communication skills. Strong business acumen and client focus. Ability to manage priorities to meet critical deadlines. Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to a changing environment. Ability to establish relationships with remote team members to foster a culture of collaboration and achieve shared objectives.
