Job Summary PetPlace is seeking a Manager Accounts Receivable and Payable to manage the daytoday operations of our AR and AP department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent leadership skills, and a proven ability to maintain accurate financial records while ensuring timely collections. This role will support the Director of Payroll Operations by assisting with businessfacing projects and reviews. Additionally, the analyst will help maintain GL and Cost Center Mapping within Workday and Microsoft Dynamics, while also facilitating payroll record collection and retention for several legal entities. Job Location: Remote Main Responsibilities Manage the accounts receivable team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure the timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections. Oversee the collection process, including communication with customers regarding outstanding balances and implement effective strategies to reduce aged receivables. Prepare and review monthly aging reports and other financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Collaborate with internal departments (sales, customer service, etc.) to resolve discrepancies or billing issues and ensure smooth cash flow operations. Maintain and update customer accounts in the accounting system, ensuring proper documentation of all transactions. Develop and implement processes to improve efficiencies within the accounts receivable department. Ensure timely application of payments and accurate reconciliation of accounts. Work closely with the finance and accounting teams to prepare for monthly close and audits. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable department. Supervise, train, and evaluate accounts payable staff. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and accounting standards. Experience 7 years relevant work experience to include leadership. Education Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience (Oneyear relevant experience is equivalent to oneyear college). Level Specific Responsibilities Participate in the development of, and may interpret, policies, procedures, service standards and workflows. May serve as the technical, business, and/or analytical liaison with other areas of the organization. Accountability/Complexity Manage a team consisting of professionals. Problems faced may be difficult or somewhat complex. Lead, direct, and review the work of team members to accomplish operational plans and results within schedule and budget. Plan and establish goals and objectives for a team with direct impact on the immediate or shortterm operational results of the department.
