The Team The Provincial Airtanker Centre is located in Kamloops BC and responsible for all aspects of airtanker operations in BC. The dispatch team is a long established unit comprised of one dispatch supervisor, two dispatch leads and eight dispatchers. The dispatch lead reports to the dispatch supervisor, provides leadership to airtanker centre dispatch, in order to provide safe and efficient airtanker operations. The Role As a dispatch lead at Provincial Airtanker Centre, you will play a vital role in managing emergency response for wildfire situations across British Columbia. Your responsibilities will include supporting the dispatch team, by monitoring work assignments, coaching and mentoring staff and providing technical expertise in order support operations. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, multi-tasking skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure, as youll be juggling multiple demands and time-sensitive requests throughout the day. Qualifications: Education and Experience Requirements Grade 12 and an equivalent combination of education, training and related experience, plus 2 years emergency response related experience.
