Position Summary Working as a Deli Associate at Walmart Canada is a great way to develop your skills in the retail industry. Rotate stock and check for expired products. Ensure the merchandise is properly signed and priced. Adhere to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sellby dates, and expiration dates. Take orders for Deli Department merchandise; slice and prepare merchandise such as meat, cheese, fried chicken; and provide requested assistance. Provide assistance to the front end associates with price checks. Prepare deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilize slicers, stackers, and other utensils; prepare chicken by using rotisserie oven and deep fryer; and fill prepared salads and side dishes for placement into display area and specialty orders from customers as required. Keep the area neat, clean, and organized; free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and liquids. The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $16.95.
