The RN fosters positive, professional communications, functions according to the standards of the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba and the Churchill Regional Health Authority and will function as Nurse in Charge as directed by the Nursing Supervisor or Nurse in Charge. The registered nurse will participate in Quality Service and Quality Improvement Programs and Function as a member of the health care team, participating in staff education and professional development. Experience Previous acute care experience an asset. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Graduate of a recognized diploma and/or degree program in nursing. Certification/Licensure/Registration Must be registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM). Active participation in professionalseriations e.g. Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba ( ) preferred. Current CPR Certification. ACLS an asset. Qualifications And Skills Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA)/Registered Psychiatric Nurses Act. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills. Ability to foster good public relationships and effective working relationships. Demonstrates a calm and confident manner during emergency and/or difficult situations. Physical Requirements Escalati Potential eye strain. Potential heavy lifting.
