ON and OFF the ICE.About the Role:Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Assistant Manager, Accounting will provide financial reporting and accounting for Live Entertainment operations and support accounting for Food & Beverage and Retail operations. The Assistant Manager, Accounting will work closely with the Live Entertainment, Events, Food & Beverage and Retail teams to integrate all financial data within OEGs accounting systems and reporting tools. Accounting for Live Entertainment concert event settlements will include night of show settlements and reporting.Your Focus in this Role:Responsible for Live Entertainment event accounting for Rogers Place and Ice District including reporting and integration into OEGs financial statementsSupporting Food & Beverage and Retail accounting for Rogers Place and Ice District including reporting and integration into OEGs financial statementsEnsures all general ledger postings for event accounting settlements are completed, working papers are updated, and ticketing payment reconciliations are completeResponsible for corporate event accounting (catered functions, corporate meetings, galas) including preevent analysis, accurate and timely billing, and postevent reporting as requiredWorks with our ticketing partner to ensure timely and accurate reporting and payments in order to maintain working papers and cash reconciliationsCrosstraining for night of show settlements, liaising with promoters, artist representatives and internal operations teamSupports marquee event accounting i.e. World Juniors, Hlinka Gretzky Cup, etc.Supports Festival accounting and works with the VP, Festivals & Events to integrate new Festival opportunitiesSupports the annual Business Planning and Budget Process as requiredSupports fullcycle accounting including books, records, monthly financial reporting, and analysisAssists with annual financial statement audit, including preparation and review of audit working papers, and coordination with external auditorsOther duties, supervisory responsibilities and projectoriented tasks as assignedWho You Are:You are passionate about the Sports & Entertainment industryYou are flexible to work evenings, weekends, and events as required by OEG's event scheduleYou are an organized team player who enjoys building relationships to foster cooperation within the teamYou have the ability to work individually and as part of a team in a fun fastpaced environmentYou have a positive attitude and embrace changeEducation, Experience and Skills:PostSecondary Accounting Diploma or Degree requiredMinimum 3 years in an accounting background or related fieldExcellent reporting, communicating and analytical skillsDetail focused, strong business acumen and well versed in financial modeling and analysisStrong understanding of Accounting Systems and integration opportunitiesExperience with computerized accounting software and a proficiency in the Microsoft Office SuiteWhats in it for you?100% Employer Paid Benefits + RSP Matching ProgramOilers, Oil Kings, and Live Entertainment Ticket OptionsHealthcare and Lifestyle Spending Account OptionsOnSite Parking and Transit AllowanceOnSite GymBeautiful Office Space located Downtown Edmonton within Rogers Place with easy access to the LRT!Social Work Culture + Employee EventsReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at OEG Inc. by 2xNext Steps:Thank you for your interest in joining our team!
