In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority, patient safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone at VIHA; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.Reporting to the Section Head, Site Supervisor or designate, the Computed Tomography (CT) & Medical Imaging Technologist performs special procedures such as Computerized Tomography (CT) a majority of the time, as well as general and additional medical imaging procedures. Duties include receiving and completing requisitions, forms and reports; prioritizing workload, preparing and monitoring supplies and equipment; patient monitoring; operating acquisition equipment and computerized patient data systems; archiving acquired images; and assuming in charge and shift related responsibilities, including evening, weekend and night shifts and working without general supervision, as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training And ExperienceGraduation from an approved Radiology Technologist Diploma program and eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
