The Accountant is a part of the Finance Shared Services Sales & Supply Chain Accounting Team which focuses on Lumber & Pulp Sales and Distribution accounting and reporting. The role guides the flow of lumber & pulp finished goods from mills to customers, improves accounting processes through the ERP platform, and collaborates with other teams to enhance ERP utilization and deepen understanding of system and product flows. A Day in the life of an Accountant includes: Sales Accounting and Reporting Donna Support the team in monthend sales accounting close and reporting, including preparing and posting various journal entries. Provide support with lumber inventory costing, customer rebate and commission reconciling and reporting, bank reconciliations. Perform monthend sales accounting and reporting tasks, including subledgers and ledgers associated with offshore sales offices. Prepare external statistical reports. Utilize knowledge of ERP systems and business processes to identify and solve issues by collaborating with crossfunctional resources. Provide support to other members of the sales accounting team. Streamline processes, document standard work, and collaborate with crossfunctional teams to achieve continuous improvement. System Enhancement & Business Transformation Support system enhancement by participating in testing and providing feedback on accounting of internal and external revenue and expenses, transfer pricing, customer rebates, agent commissions, commission sales, etc. For woodland role, you'll come equipped with: 23 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in medium to large sized companies. Experience in the forest products industry or a related operations/manufacturing environment is an asset. Completed postsecondary education in finance, accounting, or equivalent. CPA designation or working toward one is an asset. Strong computer skills and solid background with Microsoft365 applications. Practical experience working with ERP systems. Proficiency with JDE and other Oracle systems is an asset. Well organized, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong customer service skills. Ability to prioritize, deadlinedriven, and handle multiple timesensitive tasks successfully. The salary range for this position is: $$88,000.00.
