We are committed to providing a work/life balance atmosphere and offer a competitive salary and benefits package as well as firm events and staff appreciation.We are looking for a parttime Corporate Records LAA to join our friendly and experienced team.This position is in office working 25 hours per week supporting two lawyers.Salary range: $40,000 - $60,000 (determined by experience)Corporate RecordsExperience using Appara softwareUpdate annual corporate summary spreadsheet (daily)Obtain instructions from clients to proceed with annual maintenancePreparation of annual reports, annual resolutions, change of R&R and change of directors if necessaryFilings with BC Registry ServicesIncorporations of new companies (preparation of all inc. and organizational documents)Registration of dba names as requiredAmalgamationsCoordinating maintenance with local counsel for extraprovincially registered companiesSupport tax planning mattersSupport on business purchase and sales as requiredSearch and filing PPSA matters as requiredAdministrative SupportOpening new matters in Soluno/iManageConflict checksSupport on marketing activities as requiredAccountingPreparation of invoices for Corporate Records mattersPreparation of invoices for general corporate matters as requestedIssuing invoices to clients with instructionsosite payFollowing up with clients for payment of past due invoicesQualificationsMust have at least 2 years working experience in British Columbia in a legal settingA team player who can work independently and take initiativeStrong communication skills both written and verbalMust have knowledge of Appara corporate software.Technological proficiency in Microsoft office applications, as well as an ability to learn new software programs quicklyApply by submitting your resume and cover letter to our Human Resources Support, Rebecca Paterakis at thank all candidates for their interest; only those offered an interview will be contacted.
