Compensation The wage for this Dental Assistant position is $24-$27/hour depending on skills, experience, and location. Please note that this is a replacement job opening. Your Role as a Dental Assistant Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment. Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow. Take dental Xrays and digital images as required. Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards. Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and posttreatment care. Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks. Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, highquality care. Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines. Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour. Your Role as a Dental Administrator Welcome and assist patients upon arrival, creating a warm and positive first impression. Optimize the daily appointment schedule to ensure full utilization with minimal gaps. Effectively manage the recall system and maintain accurate, uptodate patient records. Handle incoming patient calls and inquiries, including appointment scheduling, confirmations, changes, and cancellations. Process referral letters and other patient correspondence from providers; organize, manage, and file all patient records and charts. Proactively manage potential cancellations and address objections to encourage patients to keep their appointments. Complete patient billing following treatment, process payments, submit insurance claims, and respond to fee inquiries in a professional and positive manner. About You Registered and/or certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required. Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.
