Come join us.The Data Engineering practice at Gore Mutual Insurance is going through an exciting transformation to modernize technologies and approaches, and to better enable a data driven future for the company.The Senior Data Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines, data modelling and data integrity/validation. The role will also support several exciting ongoing data migration, acquisition, and development projects, aligning with our new strategic data priorities as well as provide mentorship within the Data Engineering teamWhat will you be doing in this role?Design, development, and documentation of data pipelines and data storage systemsMaintenance of Data Systems and PlatformsCollect and analyze requirements and develop data processes and applications that satisfy themIdentify new opportunities for data acquisition and help with utilization of new data assetSupport internal business clients such as Data Scientists and Visualization Specialists with their various data needs in collaboration with other Data Engineering team membersProvide mentorship to Associate and Intermediate Dat Engineers as neededWhat will you need to succeed in this role?An undergraduate degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, etc.A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience as a data engineer is required.
