Key responsibilities include protecting assets, conserving property, maintaining sprinkler systems, and ensuring the readiness and functionality of firefighting equipment. Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications: Certified Sprinkler Fitter or equivalent trade qualification preferred. 3+ years fire-protection or industrial maintenance experience. Knowledge of sprinkler systems, fire-prevention regulations, and industrial fire risks. Experience in forestry, sawmills, or heavy industry an asset. In this role, you will: Install, inspect, and maintain sprinkler systems, valves, hydrants, fire pumps, and alarms. Conduct regular fire-safety audits and hazard assessments across the mill. Lead fire-prevention programs, hot-work permitting, and combustible-dust monitoring. Coordinate emergency response and fire-drill training for employees. Maintain compliance documentation for BC Fire Code, NFPA standards, WorkSafeBC, and insurance requirements. Liaise with local fire authorities and external inspectors. So, what''s in it for you?
