Partner Staffing on behalf of our client, w e are seeking an experienced Structural Technologist with a strong background in water and wastewater infrastructure to support the design and delivery of pump stations, lift stations, treatment plant structures, and related municipal/industrial facilities and excels in multidisciplinary environments. Requirements Key Responsibilities Prepare high -quality structural drawings, models, and details for water/wastewater facilities, including pump stations, lift stations, concrete tanks, equipment supports, and building structures. Develop 3D models, reinforcement detailing, and structural layout drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and/or other BIM tools. Support engineers in analyzing structural requirements, coordinating design inputs, and implementing design changes. Produce drawing packages for all project phases: conceptual design, preliminary design, detailed design, and issued -for -construction (IFC). Review vendor drawings, structural shop drawings, and contractor submittals for technical accuracy and compliance with project standards. Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, process, civil, and architectural teams to ensure alignment of structural interfaces. Conduct site visits, collect field data, and support construction administration tasks such as responding to RFIs and reviewing as -built conditions. Ensure all drawings meet applicable codes, municipal standards, and internal quality control procedures. Qualifications Diploma in Structural Engineering Technology or Civil Engineering Technology from a recognized institution. 7+ years of experience in structural design and drafting, preferably focused on water/wastewater, industrial, or municipal infrastructure projects. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD , Revit , and/or Civil 3D ; experience with BIM workflow is an asset. Solid understanding of reinforced concrete, structural steel, foundations, building codes, and design standards. Experience preparing structural details for mechanical/electrical equipment foundations, pump wells, access platforms, and process structures. Familiarity with Alberta Building Code, CSA standards, and municipal/regional utility requirements. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary project environment. Detail -oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Nice -to -Have Skills Experience in water and wastewater treatment plant upgrades and expansions. Knowledge of pump station structural requirements, crane/hoist support systems, and buried infrastructure. Exposure to construction site work, concrete inspection, or structural assessments.
