Central Zone RA, Red Deer, Red Deer Regional Hospital Nursing - Nurse/Psych Nurse REC 3 days ago Your Opportunity: We are looking to add a team of experienced RN/RPN professionals to our Psychiatric Emergency Department in the central zone at the Red Deer Regional Hospital. We are looking for individuals passionate about supporting clients and their families through moderate to severe addictions and mental health treatment streams. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support our clients and their families through the path of care continuum. They will be responsible for daily care to our patients, liaising with the families and medical team and being a part of the overall treatment team. As a RN/RPN, you will provide mentorship and leadership within the team environment based on your scope of practice and skill set. An ability to create strong relationships with all ages of patients, families, and our team are a critical asset to this position. You have strong assessment skills, ability to use critical thinking, flexibility, and ability to work in a high paced and acute environment. Open to RPN/RN candidates seeking employment. Description: As a Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN), you will provide leadership through a wide variety of nursing services to patients (clients, residents) for the purpose of promoting, maintaining or restoring health, mental health and preventing mental illness, injury and disability. You will teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and take necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care, while reflecting the shared vision and values of Recovery Alberta.
