We are seeking an experienced, Manitoba Certified Onsite Wastewater Installer who also possesses deep knowledge of City of Winnipeg Water & Waste standards. You will lead our field operations, managing both rural septic installations and urban sewer/water hookups. This role requires a ''working lead'' who can operate machinery, oversee a crew, and handle all technical compliance with provincial and city regulators. Key Responsibilities: Rural Septic Operations: Perform site evaluations, soil texturing, and ''T-time'' analysis. Manage the installation of tanks, fields, and mound systems in accordance with MR 83/2003. Winnipeg City Connections: Oversee house-to-city sewer/water hookups, ensuring deep-burial standards (7.59 ft), proper vertical separation, and pipe bedding. Permitting & Compliance: Sign off on provincial ''Applications to Register'' and coordinate City of Winnipeg ''Sewer & Water Inspection Permits.'' Decommissioning: Lead the legal decommissioning of septic tanks (pumping, breaking, and filling) when transitioning clients to city services. Machine Operation: Expert operation of excavators and skid steers for precise trenching and grading. Team Leadership: Supervise 23 laborers, ensure job site safety, and maintain equipment. Required Qualifications: Mandatory: Valid Manitoba Certified Installer license (Onsite Wastewater Management). Highly Preferred: Hold or have the ability to obtain a City of Winnipeg Sewer & Water Contractor License (requires Red Seal/Journeyperson Plumber status or equivalent city-recognized experience). Experience: Minimum 5 years in earthworks, pipe-fitting, or wastewater management. Technical Skills: Ability to use laser levels/transits for precise grading and read complex site plans. Driver''s License: Valid Class 5 (Class 3 with Air is a significant asset). Job Type: Full-time Pay: $50.00-$60.00 per hour Work Location: On the road
