Job Description We are seeking a Construction Inspector to join our Industrial Infrastructure team that is based in our Calgary office. It is anticipated that inspection assignments for this role will primarily involve earthworks and containment system projects at industrial landfill facilities located outside the Calgary area, most likely in central and northern Alberta. It''s expected that the individual in this role would utilise banked time accumulated during the typical earthworks construction season to take extended time off during winter months. You will be the Engineer''s representative and will be responsible for providing oversight of construction on projects. This includes, but is not limited to: Monitoring the Contractor''s operations to ensure compliance with contract terms, design specifications, and drawings Monitoring progress and schedules Daily drone surveys (pilot training will be provided) Preparing daily & weekly reports Maintaining projects records and site diaries Reviewing contractor work procedure submissions Monitoring of quality control testing Reviewing on-site quantities Job Requirements What you will bring: Minimum 10 years'' experience in a Construction Inspection role Experience with contract administration and on-site inspection principles, practices, and techniques Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills Committed team player and the ability to work independently A diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or Construction Management is an asset Prior experience with a consulting firm is an asset Valid Driver''s License Willingness and ability to travel
