Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Shop Foreman / Manager to oversee daily shop operations, manage production workflow, and lead shop staff. This role is critical to ensuring quality workmanship, efficiency, safety, and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with technical knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to keep operations running smoothly in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily shop operations, production schedules, and workflow Supervise, lead, and support shop staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance Ensure projects are completed on time and to quality standards Coordinate materials, tools, and equipment required for production Monitor productivity, address bottlenecks, and implement efficiency improvements Enforce health and safety standards and ensure a clean, organized shop environment Work closely with management, project managers, and office staff to align priorities Train new employees and support ongoing skill development Inspect completed work and address any quality or performance issues Maintain inventory awareness and report material or equipment needs Handle day-to-day problem solving and operational decisions on the shop floor Qualifications & Experience Proven experience as a Shop Foreman, Shop Manager, or similar leadership role Strong understanding of shop operations, production workflows, and quality control Experience supervising and motivating a team Ability to read drawings, plans, or work orders (if applicable to your industry) Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Safety-conscious with experience enforcing workplace safety standards Hands-on, solutions-focused, and reliable Preferred (but not required) Industry-specific experience (manufacturing, millwork, fabrication, automotive, construction, etc.) Forklift or equipment certifications Experience with inventory or production tracking systems What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Stable, full-time employment Supportive team environment Opportunity for growth and leadership How to Apply Please apply with your resume.
