Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory control, maintenance, quality control and quality assurance. The Operations Manager will be responsible to direct and develop their team by fostering a culture of safety, holding team members accountable and encouraging continuous improvement. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient workflows, compliance with safety standards, and continuous improvement initiatives to support company growth. The Operations Manager should possess exceptional communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, along with a strong attention to detail. The Operations Manager will contribute to fostering a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The Operations Manager may, on occasion, be required to travel to other branches or conduct customer visits off-site. Responsibilities: Oversee shipping and receiving functions ensuring timely and accurate deliveries Use lean strategies to monitor stock levels, minimize shrinkage rates, and optimize warehouse efficiencies Drive operational KPI''s and cost-saving initiatives Ensure adherence to customer specifications and ISO Standards Supervise inspection process of incoming and outgoing products Oversee preventative maintenance for warehouse equipment and general facilities Provide direct leadership to a team within the warehouse, focusing on development, performance management, and daily operational success Other duties as assigned Requirements Diploma or Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operational Management, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in a warehouse or distribution operations setting. Preferably in Industrial or Fastener Supply. 2+ years of experience leading a team Experience in Lean processes is considered an asset Valid driver''s license with a suitable driver''s abstract The salary for this position is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate''s education, experience, and qualifications.
