Relationships Reports to: Lead Hand Supervises: None Internal Contacts: Lead, Senior Lead, Production Supervisors Key Responsibility Areas Production Worker Positions Include Assembly: Building hydrovac trucks on prepared chassis, connecting key systems, and mounting tanks and van bodies. Chassis Prep: Modifying the frame, driveline, and other systems for assembly. Kitting: Assembling subcomponents for hydrovac builds Van Body: Outfitting van bodies with hydraulic, control, and water-handling systems. Production Assembly Ensure error-free production processes Assemble components across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems Follow instructions from Lead Hands or senior leads Follow blueprints, diagrams, and instructions to ensure correct and efficient assembly Assess job risks, use required PPE and prioritize workplace safety Gain expertise with systems such as blowers, cooling, driveline, hydraulics, and electrical components Use hand and power tools proficiently and install parts according to Standard Operating Procedures Maintain a clean, organized workspace and ensure accurate tracking of parts Monitor and maintain stock levels of consumables and parts Competencies Approaches tasks with both accuracy and efficiency Uses an analytical approach to executing ideas Demonstrated mechanical aptitude including technical knowledge and skill with hand and power tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures and instructions. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Qualifications Education Completion of High School Diploma or GED Mechanical or Construction courses are preferred Experience Mechanical experience is preferred, with on-the-job training provided Manufacturing experience is preferred Working Conditions Work takes place in an industrial shop environment, which can be dusty, hot in summer, and cold in winter due to bay doors Requires lifting heavy objects, standing, kneeling, crouching, and working under vehicles for extended periods. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, with CSA-approved safety footwear provided by the employee.
