Resource Teacher Job Description MAIN Responsibilities: Student Support : Provide direct instruction (pull-out), remediation, and strategies for students with learning disabilities, identified needs, or IEPs. IEP Management : Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of IEPs, ensuring goals are met and legal requirements are followed. Schedule/run IEP meetings. Paper work related to IEP Meetings. Maintain accurate student records and documentation. Administer/book in FSA testing for a small number of students Administer/book in Grad assessments (Grade 10 and 12) for a small number of students General: Collaboration : Work closely with classroom teachers, parents, and other specialists (psychologists, speech therapists) to plan, co-teach, and implement support. May have a 1 or 2 subject teaching load Sub in as needed during staff absences Works across elementary, middle, high school levels. K-12 Is able to communicate effectively with staff and parents Qualifications: Completion of a Bachelor of Education or related Prior teaching experience is an asset Membership in or eligible to become a member in the Teacher Regulation Branch (Regular or Independent Schools) Will Train in our methods Salary is dependent on experience starting salary $53,921 Must have BC Teaching Certificate
