Designer, Developer Collaboration (Figma Focus) Location: Canada, Remote Language: English, strong written and spoken communication required Background Check Requirement: Criminal Check, Reference Check Salary : $80, ,000 per year About the Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity for a product-focused Designer who loves working at the intersection of design and engineering. You will join a growing healthcare technology organization with an established product that is actively used by real people, where thoughtful, well-executed design directly impacts patient and provider experiences. In this role, you will partner closely with engineers and another designer to ensure design work is not only visually strong, but also structured for seamless development. You will take ownership of the Figma environment that serves as the single source of truth for developers, ensuring consistency, clarity, and scalability across the product. Your Responsibilities You''ll own and maintain the Developer Source of Truth Figma, ensuring it is always accurate and up to date with the live application. In this role, you''ll review new designs to confirm they are optimized for development before handoff to engineering. You''ll translate incoming designs into well-structured, reusable global components that support efficient development. You''ll document and recreate existing application UI that is not yet reflected in Figma. You''ll ensure all UI states, edge cases, and error handling scenarios are fully represented in design. You''ll iterate on designs to improve usability, clarity, and overall user experience in complex workflows. Skills and Qualifications 5+ years of experience in a UI or product design role within digital products Advanced proficiency in Figma, including component systems, variants, and organization best practices Strong understanding of UI and UX principles, including complex interfaces and multi-state workflows Some technical HTML/CSS, JavaScript coding experience is preferred Familiarity with React is a nice-to-have Proven experience collaborating closely with engineering teams Ability to work quickly, consistently, and with strong attention to detail Passion for building impactful products in the healthcare space
