Overview Join our dedicated team as a daycare bus driver and become a vital part of ensuring the safe, reliable, and friendly transportation of children to and from our childcare facility. This energetic role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives while demonstrating excellent driving skills, communication, and child-centered care. As a daycare bus driver, you will be responsible for transporting children safely, maintaining vehicle safety standards, and fostering a welcoming environment for both children and parents. Responsibilities Safely operate school buses, paratransit vehicles, or specialized childcare transportation vehicles following all traffic laws and safety protocols Ensure the well-being of children during transit by practicing attentive behavior management and child safety procedures Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to verify mechanical condition and readiness for daily routes Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and staff to coordinate pick-up and drop-off times and address any concerns Maintain accurate records of routes, passenger counts, and safety checks in compliance with transportation regulations Provide excellent customer service by creating a positive experience for children and their families during transit Respond promptly to emergencies or incidents, coordinating with emergency responders if necessary Qualifications Valid commercial driver''s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for school bus or paratransit driving Proven experience in bus driving or commercial driving roles, preferably with school bus or childcare transportation experience Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for engaging diverse communities Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics and mechanical troubleshooting skills Experience working with children or in childcare settings demonstrating patience and behavior management skills Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and adherence to traffic laws Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively Physical ability to assist children as needed and perform routine vehicle inspections Join us in creating a safe, caring environment that supports children''s growth while providing essential transportation services.
