Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team in our modern Snack Bar. We are pioneering a Toronto-like food dining experience for patrons in Oshawa. We are all about community and building something special and unique out here in Durham. We offer a large variety of tapas dishes as well as a full pizza menu. The ideal candidate will be responsible for meal preparation, cooking on-line for dinner service, making pizza and pizza dough from scratch, and maintaining high quality food standards. Experience and creativity in creating menu items and weekly feature items is a plus Duties: Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food Cook and assemble dishes as per recipes and specifications Prepare pizza dough from scratch, ensuring proper fermentation and consistency Craft and cook pizzas to order, maintaining high quality and presentation standards Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area Follow food safety standards and guidelines Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food production Creative menu ideas and plating would be appreciated Qualifications: 35 years of experience as a line cook with a strong passion for food and hospitality Excellent knife skills are required Must bring your own sharp knives and essential kitchen tools Solid knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team Experience with various kitchen equipment and diverse cooking techniques Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings and weekends, based on event needs Knowledge of pizza cooking is considered an asset A positive attitude and good vibes are definitely a plus Join our new kitchen crew where you can showcase your culinary skills and contribute to creating memorable dining experiences.
