About the LLBIAThe Lower Lonsdale Business Improvement Area (LLBIA) is a non-profit society dedicated to promoting, enhancing, and advocating for the Lower Lonsdale commercial district in the City of North Vancouver. We are a destination marketing organization working closely with local businesses, the City, and community partners.Position SummaryThe Membership & Tourism Coordinator is a liaison between the LLBIA and its business members while leading our visitor services, tourism activations, and StreetCart programming. This role supports visitor experience, business engagement, community connection, and on-street visibility.Key ResponsibilitiesMember Services & Business Support Serve as the primary point of contact for member businesses. Lead membership onboarding, retention, and annual communications. Maintain and update the membership database and business records. Support business outreach, issue resolution, surveys, and advocacy coordination. Assist with sponsor and partner servicing in collaboration with the Marketing & Events Coordinator.Tourism & Visitor Services Lead delivery of the Lonsdale StreetCart program including daily operations, staffing coordination, and seasonal scheduling. This position will drive the StreetCart for approximately 30-hours per week during peak summer operations Comfort in driving and a regular Class 5 BC drivers license is required for this role Coordinate and supervise visitor ambassadors or seasonal tourism staff. Support wayfinding, visitor engagement, and on-street programming. Track and report on visitor interactions, ridership, and seasonal demand trends. Support expanded tourism and community connection programming beyond peak season.Community & Stakeholder Engagement Liaise with tourism operators, community partners, and City departments. Support joint initiatives that enhance economic vitality and visitor experience. Assist in partnership development related to placemaking and tourism.Administration & Reporting Track and report program metrics and performance indicators. Create an annual report for the visitor centre and streetcart operations Support tourism program budgeting and financial tracking. Attend Board or committee meetings as required.
