The way we share ideas, learning, experiences, successes, and joy allows everyone to be their best at Ascendion.About the Role:Responsibilities:Work closely with the Rigging Lead to create rigged assets that conform to the technical guidelines of the target platform and engine.Follow direction from the Rigging Lead, as well as seek feedback from peers and art leads when needed.Trouble shoot rigged assets, fix content issues, and test on target platformParticipate in meetings as part of effective communication with the team.Capably and consistently meet project deadlines and milestones set by project leads.Document new rigging tools, techniques and workflows as requiredBe a positive and creative force in the team.Requirements:3+ years as professional rigger or equivalent experienceAA/BFA preferred, or at least can demonstrate through a portfolio an industry standard level of riggingProficient with Maya, with a high capacity to learn new tools and processesHuman/animal anatomical knowledgeClean and efficient smooth skinning practicesPassion for the industry and an understanding of industry trends and technologiesHave a proactive work ethic; capable problem solver who is not afraid of big challengesPrepared to learn in-studio workflow and toolsExperience with Unreal Engine 5 is a benefitPython scripting knowledge is a benefitExperience with MotionBuilder is a benefitKnowledge of Cloth or simulation is a plusSkills/qualifications:Proficient with MayaExperience with Unreal Engine 5 is a benefitPrepared to learn in-studio workflow and toolsPython scripting knowledge is a benefitExperience with MotionBuilder is a benefitKnowledge of Cloth or simulation is a plusSalary Range: The salary for this position is between $90,000 $100,000 CAD annually.
