Position Summary The Relief Pharmacist assists the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in all aspects of Pharmacy Operations. What You'll Do Ensure excellent patient experience and locate merchandise on the sales floor. Establish and develop a strong working relationship with Professional Services District Managers and other stakeholders. Accept prescriptions and/or refill requests from Customers, Doctors or Hospitals. Ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely using the established workflow models and counsel all patients on sold pharmaceutical products. Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products. Execute processes as per OBWs/SOPs. Operate all equipment in the pharmacy (register, computer system, etc.) and protect and maintain patient privacy at all times, following provincial regulations. Ensure patients receive all eligible services they are entitled to (medication reviews, injections, etc.) to meet specific needs. Must follow OBW regulations as per the Relief Pharmacist program. Must travel to various locations and follow the schedules set by the Relief program coordinator. Develop and establish collaborative relationships with other health care providers within the store (clinics, Vision Centre, community, etc.). Minimum Qualifications Age 16 or older. License Pharmacist License (secondary optional permit in Alberta: CA_APA Additional Prescribing Authorization). Rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
