Accounting Coordinator EN Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) Location: Latvia 6month deployed civilian contract. Hours: Up to 56 per week, weekdays and weekends. The Role Plan, organize, and deliver accounting services and programs for Canadian Armed Forces and partner nations while supporting the morale and welfare of deployed troops. Provide advice on accounting and administrative policies, act as Comptroller to the military Commander, deliver training to employees and military personnel, and assist with recreational activities. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and manage delivery of accounting services. Provide advising and interpretation of accounting and administrative policies to managers and senior military officers. Notify and report unusual trends/activities for further investigation. Act as Comptroller to the military Commander and provide accounting control over assets and liabilities. Provide assistance and training to employees, managers and military personnel in accounting/finance topics and programs. Assist with recreational activities and events to enhance morale of CAF and partner nations. Qualifications Needed Education, Certifications and Licenses College diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field. Canadian citizenship. Valid Canadian passport. Valid Canadian drivers licence (Class G or Class 5). Experience Inventory control. Applying policies, procedures, regulations and applicable legislation. Planning, organizing, and delivering accounting services. Providing finance and accounting advice. Budget administration. Planning and conducting presentations. Preparation of financial statements, analysis and management reports. Competencies Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership. Additional Qualifications Prior To Deployment Completion of a health, dental and psychosocial assessment. Security screening. Current CPR And Basic First Aid Qualifications Ability to walk and lift, carry, pull or push heavy items. Language Requirements English Essential. Job Information Position Type: Civilian deployment contract, 6month term, start dates within next 2 years. Benefits: Taxfree allowance up to $1,756 per month. Home leave and travel allowance.
