Creating an environment where the delivery of high standards care and safety is undertaken at all times. Mentoring and supervising the care delivery within designated medical centres.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain standards in line with Provincial governing regulatory bodyComply with International SOS Standards and ProceduresEnsure that patients are managed in a professional and customer friendly mannerResponsible to ensure that all clinical staff on site undertake skills assessment testing in basic life support and other identified clinical skills on an annual basisBe familiar with the contractual requirements of occupational health and strive to meet themProvide primary care to patients who attend the clinic and oversee the care provided by colleaguesPrescribe medications to patients in line with the statutory limitations of the qualificationsEnsure patient records contain documentation that is objective, complete, and recorded in a timely mannerEnsure all medical staff participate in weekly CME topicsConduct daily safety meetings relevant to the clinic, project, and industry-specific topicsTake responsibility to develop an ongoing training calendarEnsure staff are prepared for all types of emergency situations by active participation in all internal scenario type trainingMaintain records of all training in line with the International SOS standardsMentor and develop staff skills in a one-on-one situation as requiredEnsure that all new staff receive a full orientation on arrival at siteCreate a culture of learning in the clinicUnderstand equipment maintenance program and participate as appropriate when requestedEnsure equipment is in good condition and notify the Equipment Department or Client (dependant on ownership) if there is a suspected problemEnsure all stock is intact and within dateEnsure all inventories of pharmacy and consumables are maintained in accordance with the procedureEnsure infection control practices are followed at all times in line with International SOS practicesEnsure adequate supplies of PPEEnsure sterilizing practices are consistent with International SOS standardsDelegate some parts of responsibilities to other relevant staff in order to develop their skills and monitor their professional developmentParticipate in scheduled meetings and other activities as requestedPrepare reports relating to the specific area of responsibility as requestedParticipate in committees or working groups as requestedAny other reasonable duties that may be requested from time to time by managementAssist in the writing of procedures as requested from time to timeParticipate actively in the continuous quality improvement program through: identification of risk in daily activities, creation of a participative workforce in identifying areas where improvement can be made, participation in CQI meetings to improve outcomesPrepare reports as requested on quality issuesWe'd like to review your application if you have....Must-haves (minimum Requirements)Work experience as a nurse practitionerExceptional collaboration with other groups and the ability to work under pressureLeadership experience, education or professional developmentCurrent registration with the BCCNP as a Nurse Practitioner in family or adult practiceSuccessful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program, holding a Master of Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing or equivalentA valid drivers license and a clean driving recordAlignment with our values of expertise,passion,respect and carePreference ForExperience in an industrial, emergency or critical care setting and experience with health surveillance testing and programsA high level of knowledge and the ability to interpret relevant medical and operational guidelines, protocols, policies and proceduresTechnical knowledge of health and wellness programs, standards and processes, including disability case management, return to work programs, medical surveillance and wellness programsKnowledge of Microsoft Office suiteCollaborate with others in order to achieve the best results and deliver the most valueHold others accountable, and expect others to do the sameWhere youll be working, your work schedule, and other important information:You will work out of our camp-based client site.
