Nature gives us a leading edge as British Columbias Okanagan Valley has a perfect moderate climate for growing large, flavourful, sweet cherries.Job DescriptionPre- Season/Post SeasonAssist Sales Manager in developing a sales plan that aligns with incoming fruitOrder and manage the cardboard inventory and packaging suppliesAssist in interview process for plant staffingRe-design and Implement CB picker systemSupervisor orchard planting operations and irrigation installationHarvest SeasonSales order/Inventory managementPurchase packing suppliesEnsure cold chain of transported fruit is maintainedLiaise with the Packing Plant Manager to receive fruit and with the orchard managers to dispatch fruitCollaborate with Sales Manager, Plant Manager and other managers to optimize processesResolve issues regarding shipmentsCross check Sales list with packing list to ensure accuracy of shipments is maintainedCreate and manage the cherry inventory system ensuring that incoming fruit has an order assigned to it.Manage the shipping cooler, box filling, box making and lidding departments to ensure packaging and product match with sales order.Maintain farm packing equipmentDevelop and keep production recordsQualifications3-5 Years experience with perishable product3-5 years experience as a production line supervisor2 years experience in Sales order management of a perishable product2 years experience Procurement managementAbility to work in a fast paced, high pressure environmentAdditional InformationOur working environment is extremely demanding over a short period of time.
