Hotel and Facilities Lead Maintenance Technician Park Place Lodge (PPL) & Park Vacation Management (PVM) is seeking a skilled and handson Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance operations across all PVMmanaged facilities, including the Park Place Lodge (PPL). This role requires a proactive leader with strong technical expertise and a commitment to excellence in building maintenance, guest satisfaction, and team development. This is a handson leadership role, working closely with the PVM and PPL Senior Management team to coordinate all maintenance team members and tasks to ensure an excellent owner or guest experience. Responsibilities Lead daily activities of the maintenance team related to all aspects of building and facilities maintenance Manage staff relationships as well as hiring, training, and supervision of staff; orient, train and mentor staff in proper maintenance, repair, and safety procedures. Assign, schedule, and monitor work orders to ensure timely completion. Set up and assign work for Maintenance Team on days when not present in the building. Promptly inform Senior Management of unusual situations that may require additional intervention. Conduct performance evaluations and ensure consistent quality standards from all maintenance team members. Ensure daily duties are being performed and checklists are being utilized, and continue implementation of Upkeep property management system. Work with Abbey Stapleton to ensure Upkeep is used properly. Be a working handson manager and lead by example; perform general maintenance tasks including building inspections, faulty equipment repair, managing heating and plumbing systems, pool maintenance, landscaping, painting and carpentry. Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard. Maintain inventory records for equipment and supplies. Be prepared in case of an emergency. Keep employee & maintenance manuals up to date. Assist in planning and implementing all special projects with the PVM and PPL Senior Management team. Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act, fire regulations and other legal requirements. Submit biweekly timesheets to the Accounts Payable Department (Wendy). Create and implement a calendar of works for seasonal tasks and projects. Be on call for serious emergencies outside normal working hours. Qualifications Proven experience in building or facilities maintenance, preferably in a hospitality or property management environment. Strong leadership and team management skills. Solid understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems. Excellent problemsolving and communication skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
