We are looking for a strategic, experienced, and results-driven Finance Manager to join our team at GLICO Canada. This individual will be the first local finance manager we have had and will be responsible for building and executing both short term (1-year) and long term (3-5 year) strategic plans that drive business growth and profitability. This person will work closely with the local president and finance team in Japan. We are a lean team in Canada therefore we are looking for someone who is self-driven, comfortable working independently and interested in an opportunity to significantly influence our business success. Someone who has experience working with or in International businesses (specifically Japanese or Asian businesses) is an asset and/or someone who has worked for a lean start-up or small business. Key responsibilities Lead financial planning, budgeting & forecasting Perform pricing & sales analysis Provide financial analysis and guidance on SKU and brand level, promotional and customer profitability. Work with customer teams to monitor performance versus budget targets Manage cash flow and monthly reporting Manage P&L, identifying growth and cost saving initiatives Identify cost saving initiatives to optimize profitability Collaborate with sales teams for data-driven decisions Sales analysis and forecasting, guide trade spend decisions (including but not limited to monitoring SKU, customer, promotional and regional performance to identify opportunities or risks early) Cash flow analysis, A/R & A/P management Improve internal record keeping in Excel, create models that pull data from SAP and present them in charts, tables or other formats that help identify opportunities and trends Qualifications Bachelors or masters in finance and/or accounting (CFA preferred) 5+ years in finance/accounting A/R and deductions resolution/management experience in a CPG environment Strategic thinker, self-driven, and open-minded Experience with or desire to learn how to use generative AI to improve efficiencies Other Flexible schedule: Some meetings will occur with team in Japan so there will be meetings in the late afternoon / evening (at 8:30 or 9AM JST) Compensation Compensation will be determined based on the skill and experience level of the successful candidate Salary range: $80,000-$120,000 depending on experience, education, training, licenses and other organizational requirements.
