Create Music Group is based in Hollywood, CA and has 350 employees worldwide.Job SummaryThe Publishing Royalties Associate is responsible for managing all aspects of royalty statement processing and payout for the companys music publishing clients. This role ensures accurate and timely ingestion, reconciliation, and distribution of royalties by cross-checking third-party statements against the companys catalog data. This role collaborates closely with the publishing administration team to allocate royalties to the correct songwriters and proactively resolves data discrepancies to maintain accurate royalty reporting and payments.ResponsibilitiesDownload and process all incoming publishing royalty statements from external sources (e.g., collection societies, sub-publishers, and DSPs)Match reported works to the companys catalog to confirm ownership and ensure accurate payment allocationIdentify and document missing or unmatched titles; prepare clear reports summarizing discrepancies or incomplete dataProactively obtain missing information from licensors, administrators, or internal departments to complete statement processingAllocate and reconcile royalties to the appropriate writers, shares, and territories in coordination with the publishing admin teamProcess additional publishing-related payments, including pass-through royalties, invoices, and ad-hoc client paymentsMaintain organized and auditable records of royalty statements, payment reports, and supporting documentationAssist in preparing payout summaries and internal financial reports for management reviewSupport system updates and data cleanup to improve statement processing efficiencyOther duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum 2 years of experience in music publishing, royalties, or rights administration preferredStrong knowledge of music publishing, royalty collection, and industry payment practicesAdvanced Excel or Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, etc.)High attention to detail and accuracy in handling complex financial dataStrong organizational and problem-solving abilities; able to work independently and meet deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience using royalty accounting or rights management software preferredPay Scale$55,000 - $60,000 CAD per yearThe final compensation within this range will be determined based on the candidates experience, skills, and overall fit for the role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
