The opportunity Metro Testing + Engineering is hiring a dispatcher for our Burnaby office. The environment is fast pace and dynamic during the peak construction season. The person will be in regular contact with our customers and technicians. Who we are: Metro Testing + Engineering (Metro) is one of the busiest materials testing companies in Western Canada. Our technicians provide the materials testing of concrete, asphalt, and soils for the construction industry. What you will be getting $23/hr to start Benefits after 3 months: dental, vision, extended health care, life insurance RRSP Matching Close to major transit station What you will be doing Responding to customer''s request for service and review the request before creating a job order Connecting with the field technicians and assign them to sites based on their expertise and customer''s requirements Provide all job related information to the technicians on a timely basis Strategically distribute the work orders among the technicians Provide update to technicians and customers if required What you need to have Strong English oral / written / interpersonal communication skills. 2 years of over the phone customer service experience Experience with the construction industry is an asset Have a sense of urgency Detail oriented and experience in multi-tasking and the ability to prioritize tasks Experience with MS Office and other Windows based applications Tactful and professional interaction with peers, drivers, clients and other staff Friendly, positive attitude, and strong customer service orientation Degree of flexibility with work hours, including possible evenings and weekends during peak construction season #mtehp
