Our head office houses Tolko''s corporate services groups including Sales, Marketing & Logistics, Finance, Accounting & Credit, IT, Procurement and Human Resources. This is an on-site position and remote work is not available at this time. Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications: Minimum 6 yearsof relevant experienceworking in a development role. Comprehensivedata warehouse analysis and design experience, with a full knowledge of data warehouse methodologies and data modeling. Extensive experience withSQL codingbest practices, andData warehousing techniques for both on prem and cloud-based architectures. Knowledgeable on model security and the implications and impact or various techniques such as RLS. Responsibilities will includeengineering new data pipelinesas well assupporting existing modelsanddata delivery methods. Strong understanding of data structures, theories, principles, and practices. Broad based business skills and a strong background in both data & analytics tools. Strong knowledge ofSSAS, SSRS, and Power BI. In this role, you will: Direct, organize, and lead projectsin the implementation and use of new BI software tools and systems. Lead the integration efforts formerging data & analytics platformswith enterprise systems and applications. Design, code, test, and documentall new or modified data & analytics systems, applications, and programs. Develop the semantic layer, metadata, and report definitions. Assist in the design of data pipelines and data warehouses to ensure interoperability with BI solutions. Produce ETL design guidelinesto ensure a manageable ETL infrastructure for the BI system. Support and analyze existing software systems, data & analytics applications, operational reporting, and ETL processes that feed the data warehouses. Select, blueprint, gather requirements, design, and deploy data & analytics solutions to end users. Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams todeliver data-driven solutionsthat meet business needs and objectives. Develop and maintain documentation, standards, and best practices for BI processes and solutions. Research and evaluate new technologies and trends in the BI domain andprovide recommendations for improvement. Mentor and provide leadership to junior members of the team.
