The Child and Youth Case Manager reports to the Outreach Supervisor and supports children and youth (ages 617) who have been impacted by family violence. This role helps create a safe, supportive environment by working directly with children, youth, and their caregivers, as well as with key systems such as schools, community agencies, and peer networks. The Case Manager promotes safety, emotional well-being, healthy development, and resilience. This role provides support both within the YW Crisis Shelter and when families transition back into the community. This position typically works 37.5 hours per week, including two Saturdays per month, and includes regular communitybased travel to meet with clients. WHAT WE OFFER: Truly rewarding work; contribute to lasting, positive change for individuals and our community Flexible schedules and a hybrid work arrangement for eligible roles for our employees to manage work and life A supportive team environment and opportunities for professional development Onsite fitness and childcare facilities WHAT YOU''LL DO: Provide professional, ethical, trauma-sensitive and specialized services to children and youth who have experienced domestic violence Assist children and youth in creating age-appropriate safety plans for their time at the shelter, and upon their return to the community Provide one on one support to children living in shelter and assist with their transition to new communities Facilitate workshops for mothers at the shelter to provide information related to early childhood development, parenting and attachment Coach children and youth in self-regulation and problem-solving during times of stress Develop and implement targeted intervention activities including relationship building, parenting support and intensive child/youth-focused outreach Provide school-related referrals and collaborate with Family School Liaison Workers Liaise with schools regarding client''s educational needs and medical staff regarding health concerns or queries Attend case conferences with other service providers, in consultation with leadership Provide appropriate referrals to internal and external programs for long-term intervention, support and counselling Maintain and strengthen partnerships with community agencies including Child and Family Services and local schools. Collaborate and advocate with community partners to address child and family needs Assist with the development, implementation, assessment and documentation of tools and materials for the program WHAT YOU''LL BRING: A clear Police Information Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Search, and an Intervention Record Check is required upon commencement of employment Degree in Social Work, Child and Youth Care, or related field Minimum of three years'' experience working in the field of family violence and outreach (including child abuse), developing and implementing child and youth programming, as well as experience working directly with children and youth Experience navigating social service systems and knowledge of community resources and referral pathways Alberta Brain Story Certification Current CPR/First Aid and ASIST certification Class 5 driver''s License If you want to change lives, we want to hear from you.
