Job Summary We are seeking skilled Heavy Duty Mechanics to join our team As a Mechanic with TMMP, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining various types of construction/mining equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills. This is a 77 schedule rotation, day-shifts only. Advertised wages are base rates, overtime is paid after 8 hours. Duties Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on TMMP''s heavy equipment fleet (excavators, dozers, graders, rock trucks, etc.) Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, and welding equipment Assemble and disassemble machinery as needed Work safely within heavy construction and mining environments, travelling from TMMP''s shop to various work sites. Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed Address general mechanical concerns and answer questions Be a mentor for our Heavy Duty Equipment Tech(s) Skills Strong mechanical aptitude with a ticket, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in Heavy Duty Mechanics Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing various types of machinery Knowledge of machinery electrical systems and ability to perform electrical repairs Ability to use power tools, rigging equipment, welding equipment, and other tools necessary for the job Excellent problem-solving skills to identify issues and find effective solutions Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment and be a self-starter Experience Journeyman/Red Seal ticket Experience working on a wide variety of machinery considered an asset CAT SIS experience (or equiv.) considered an asset Civil construction, open pit mining, or forestry experience considered an asset Class 5 Drivers license Fit for duty and able to perform manual labour This position offers an opportunity for a technically skilled professional to contribute to our operations through expert maintenance and repair of diverse machinery.
